I have been using a lot of CLI tools the last few years and have accumulated a plethora of configurations, AKA dotfiles. They are all gathered in a git repo on Github with a script that adds symlinks so the files are put in the right place. With this experience, some might be intrigued by my specific configs and possibly learn some from it. I will try to make a series on each one of them.

Writing notes using Markdown and Vim - My setup I’m currently in my fourthfifth year of studying computer science and during this time I’ve needed to write a lot of notes. After roughly a year using Onenote and ended up on a combination of tools I really liked. Vim and markdown. In this post I will go through why I made that choice, what my setup is and some final thoughts.

I’ve been thinking about setting up a blog for some time now. Hopefully there will be more than this initial post, but you know how it is. There is probably a million posts out there like this one. Default theme, initial post, hello world type stuff.

Setup

The page is made using Hugo and is deployed through Netlify. I might write a more comprehensive post about it later. There link to repo is here. I’m still learning the possibilities with Hugo but the most important thing is get the site up and have an easy way to write posts.
